GES Ghana Learning Television Channel comes to StarTimes

Pay television service provider, StarTimes has added a new channel to its DTH platform to encourage Ghanaian students to learn from home during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Ghana Learning TV, is a new 24-hour channel rolled out by the Ghana Education Service (GES) and it is geared towards distance learning for Senior High School and Junior High School students.

The channel can be accessed for free on the StarTimes decoder (channel #312), StarTimes said in a statement.

“Ghana Learning TV channel 312 will be available to all subscribers including the over 6000 families who benefited from the StarTimes 300 villages’ program at no cost,” the statement said.

“Following a directive by President Akufo-Addo for the closure of all schools, as part of measures by the government to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, StarTimes has put in place measures to cater for the educational needs of all students”.

The Pay TV operator has also introduced a new educational program called Home Schooling on the ST KIDS channel #300.
