The Islamic Education Unit Chairman in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Sheihk Osman Bawa Orlando has blasted Education Minister Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and the Government of Ghana over their inability to post Arabic teachers to schools especially in the Ashanti Region.
In an interview with Dr. Sheihk Orlando, he reviewed to the public that Islamic Education in Ghana especially in the Ashanti Region is collapsing and needs to be rekindle to inspire Children in Arabic Schools to learn and understand more about their religion, hence the call.
Dr. Orlando also appealing to the Minister for lnner City and Zongo Development, Hon. Dr. Mustapha Hamid to come in because Arabic Teachers are also needed in Islamic communities to help strengthen Islamic Education.
He therefore said, that they don’t know the reason why Ghana government is doing all this to the Islamic Schools because there are Christian schools across the country having all the teachers they needed especially RME,TWI and other Teachers.
