Trained Teachers of 2023 and other unposted cohorts will address the media on December 17 in Accra over delayed postings and alleged secret recruitments at the Ghana Education Service.
Trained Teachers of 2023, together with other unposted year groups, are set to meet the press on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, to publicly address what they describe as persistent challenges surrounding their delayed postings into the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The press conference is scheduled to take place at Asemdwe Park in Accra at exactly 10:00 a.m. Organisers say the engagement is intended to draw national attention to the prolonged wait many trained teachers have endured since completing their professional training.
According to information available, the teachers will use the platform to press home their demand for immediate postings and to seek clarity from the GES and the Ministry of Education on their employment status. They are also expected to raise concerns about circulating rumours suggesting that recruitment processes may be ongoing at the GES without transparency, while trained teachers remain unposted.
The group argues that the continued delay has placed significant financial and emotional strain on affected teachers, many of whom have remained unemployed for months despite meeting all qualification requirements.
Sources close to the organisers indicate that the teachers will call on the government, the Ministry of Education, and the GES to provide clear timelines and official communication regarding postings, while also addressing public concerns about fairness and accountability in teacher recruitment.
The planned press conference is expected to attract education stakeholders, civil society organisations, and media houses, as the issue of teacher deployment continues to generate debate within Ghana’s education sector.
