We have Restored and Increased the Book and Research Allowances of Lecturers by 200% – NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said that its government has restored and Increased the Book and Research Allowances of Lecturers by 200%

The NPP made this revelation in its 2020  Manifesto for the 2020 Elections at the University of Cape Coast held on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

The New Patriotic Party’s manifesto further indicated that Funding has been secured for two foundries, and sod has been cut for the commencement of a machine tool center to be constructed in Kumasi.

Establish fund for Research and Innovation

In addition, the NPP indicated that a Research & Innovation Fund Bill has been gazetted and will be laid before Parliament.

Tertiary Utility Bills

Dr Bawumia said the government has successfully abolished the payment of Utility Bills in Tertiary Institutions.

“Through the Tertiary Education Policy, we have abolished the payment of utility bills in tertiary Institutions,” He said.
