Problems with Upgrading of GES Staff for 2017 and 2018 due to HRMIS – GES

Teachers who have been upgraded in 2017 and 2018 but did not reflect on their payroll was due to the movement of GES Staff onto the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS)

.The Director General of the GES,Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwa said this in an interview on Friday,September 13,2019 on United Television in Accra.

In his statement,.there was a problem when changing the IPPD to HRMIS.

The HRMIS  ,according to the GES Boss,was a collaboration between the Ghana Education Service and the Public Service Commission.

The purpose of the collaboration is to move data of all GES Staff onto the HRMIS.

Explaining the purpose of the HRMIS,he indicated,the HRMIS shall operate all activities of the staff of the GES ,including recruitment,transfers,promotions among others.

He further said letters were sent to all staff of the GES to notify them of the decision.

He assured the teachers that by September all staff who were not upgraded shall be upgraded.
