The Coalition of Private School Teachers has given the government a September 22, deadline to reopen schools.
President of the Coalition, Nana Kwame Duodu, said although their employers have been supporting them since schools were shut due to COVID-19, Managements have come to their wits end in paying them.
He said the country’s Management of the pandemic appears to be stabilizing, therefore, time is rife for schools to re-open.

Mr. Doudu bemoaned what he said is the seeming insensitivity of the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service (GES) on the issue.
He warned, that the academic performance of pupils is being compromised by their long stay at home.
