Education Minister lied, CSE was captured in the teacher resource pack – Sammy Gyamfi

National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has chastised the Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, for not being truthful to Ghanaians regarding the whole Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) curriculum.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, if the minister had been truthful in communicating government’s intention regarding the CSE, it would have projected the Akufo-Addo’s government in a good light.

“But he was bold to sit before the cameras to lie that the CSE was not captured in the teacher resource pack used for the training…that is not true, it was captured in pages 8, 11, 180,” Sammy Gyamfi explained while contributing to discussions on an Accra based Peace FM on Friday, October 4, 2019.

He added that even the spokesperson at the ministry, Vincent Ekow Assafuah during an interview on an Accra based Asempa FM indicated that his minister was aware the CSE was captured in the teacher resource pack and that confirms how untruthful the minister is.

“If it was any other serious country, the minister would have resigned,” he said.

Sammy Gyamfi expressed worry and pleaded with Ghanaians to help fight to kick out the CSE else its implementation will spoil the future of the kids of this country and also incur the wrath of the Lord.
