4% Salary Increment: Public Sector Workers to hold emergency Press Conference

EducationGhana, July 26, Salaries: The Coalition Against the Leadership of Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Organised Labour Unions in Favour of Ghanaian Workers has set a date for an emergency Press Conference on the 4% increment in Salaries for 2021.

The workers in a statement said they shall hold an emergency press conference on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the International Press Center at exactly 10:20 AM.

Purpose

According to the workers, their purpose of organising the press conference is to press home their demand for the renegotiation of 2021 Salaries of the Public Sector Workers from 4% to 15%.

Demonstration

Public Sector Workers are set to demonstrate on August 18, 2021, to show their displeasure against the government’s 4% salary increment for the sector workers for 2021.

The Public Sector Workers in a notification to the Ghana Police Service Headquarters and signed by Norbert E.K Gborgbortsi, Divine K. Buachi and Vincent Adukor, on an earlier letter to the police on the same purpose which was accepted on July 21, 2021, indicated, that the intended demonstration shall take place on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Accra at exactly 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
