2020 NDC Manifesto: NDC Gov’t to set up a Science Technology and Innovation Fund (STI Fund)

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said Investment in Science, Technology and Innovation will be an essential part of national development and economic management.

The party, in its 2020 manifesto stated that when voted in December 7, the next NDC government will set up a Science Technology and Innovation Fund (STI Fund).

The party said it shall ensure those responsible for environmental damage and corruption are held liable for the damage caused both to the physical and human environments.

The NDC has promised to integrate environmental considerations with social, political and economic justice in addressing the needs and rights of all communities, sectors and individuals.

The manifesto indicated the NDC shall recognise and protect the right of workers to refuse work that exposes them to health hazards as well as transform waste into value to ensure a clean Ghana and create jobs by converting waste to energy.

The NDC said it shall ensure gender mainstreaming in environmental issues and develop targeted solutions for implementation and reintroduce ZOIL to involve the youth in planting coconut for coastal protection against climate change and job creation.
