V/R:Sogakofe D/A JHS “B” wins 2019 NUTSA South Tongu District Preliminary Quiz Competition

Sogakofe D/A JHS “B” has been adjudged winners of a quiz competition organized by the National Union Of Tongu Students and Associates- NUTSA for selected Basic Schools in the South Tongu District .

The quiz competition which was at its preliminary stage, took place on Wednesday,March 27,2019 on the theme:“Improving Quality Education, Health and Moral Standards in Tongu Districts: The Role of Stakeholders”

The 2019 preliminary quiz competition was organized for six (6) selected Basic Schools in the South Tongu District .

Two public basic schools,Sogakofe D/A JHS “B”and Agorkpo D/A JHS have qualified from the preliminary stage.

The two schools will represent South Tongu District to meet North and Central Tongu Schools for Inter- Districts Competition scheduled for 31st May, 2019.

Central Tongu District and North Tongu District preliminary contest have been scheduled for 17th May, 2019 and 24th May, 2019 respectively.

Below are the Schools, marks scored and their positions.

Sogakofe D/A JHS “B” – Public, 67points. 1st position

Agorkpo D/A JHS – Public, 65.5 points. 2nd position.

Total Child International School – Private, 63 points. 3rd position.

Sogakofe Comboni R/C JHS – Public, 49.5 points. 4th position.

Mansa Memorial JHS – Private, 49points. 5th position.

Adutor JHS “A” – Public, 44 points. 6th position.

The leadership of NUTSA thanked the  management and staff of the South Tongu Education Directorate, the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) – South Tongu Secretariat, the South Tongu District Assembly, Circuit Supervisors, Presbyterian Church of Ghana – Sogakope, Head teachers/Head mistresses and staff of all selected Basic Schools, former and chapter executives of NUTSA, Quiz team, pupils, parents, the media and all individuals who supported us for a successful preliminary contest.

NUTSA also extended its heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Maxwell Lukutor who provided all awards for the contest and sponsored the Union for smooth and successful preliminary contest.

They also Congratulated  all Selected South Tongu District schools for participating in the preliminary contest.
