Form two (2) pupil of the University of Ghana Basic School, Ethan Nartey, has won the 2019 edition of the Ghana Cyber Robotics Coding Competition.
Known in the competition as Team EthanE, he came tops with a total score of 1,431.
His school mate, Daniel Asamoah, who is in form one (1), placed 8th with 550 points.
Nartey came first ahead of colleagues from various basic and high schools across the country.
The competition, which begun last year, reached it climax in May this year after several stages of gaming and competing.
Consequently, the next edition will begin in the last quarter of 2020 and winner crowned in following year, 2021.
Cyber Robotics Coding Competition is a global groundbreaking online robotics competition that engages students in coding programs.
The competition targets all students irrespective of the level of education such that by learning to program and strategizing the virtual robot, a student can compete within their class, grade, school, district and state to win the stages and progress to the finals.
The mode of Competition under this global contest is through gaming and competing with the focus on STEM education, coding and tech literacy.
