Two The Roman Ridge School (TPRS) Students awarded Harvard Book Prize 2019

Two students of The Roman Ridge School (TRRS), Katelyn Owusu and Carl Awuku, have been awarded the Harvard Book Prize 2019.

This prestigious achievement award from the Harvard Alumni Association, is awarded to the outstanding secondary school students in the next-to-graduating class who “display excellence in scholarship and high character, combined with achievements in other fields.”

The President and Vice President of the Harvard Club of Ghana, Mr. Keli Gadzekpo and Mr. Sangu Delle, respectively, presented the Harvard Book Prize 2019 at The Roman Ridge School Graduation Ceremony, held on Thursday, June 27.

During the awards presentation, Mr. Gadzekpo and Mr. Delle praised the high quality of applications received and stated that of all the entries received, only four awards were issued across the whole country – with two going to The Roman Ridge School.

The Harvard Club of Ghana is a sponsor of the Harvard Book Prize, held for the first time in Ghana and a tradition of Harvard Alumni dating back to 1910.

The Harvard Club of Ghana is the umbrella organisation for the over 200 Harvard alumni who live in Ghana. Members include graduates of Harvard College and all of Harvard’s graduate and professional schools.
