EducationGhana, November 13, TM 1 Laptop: Two Teacher Unions, Innovative Teachers and All Teachers Alliance Ghana (ATAG) have sued KA Technologies, the manufacturers of the famous Teacher Mate 1 (TM 1) Laptop and three other government institutions.
The two Teacher Unions in a statement issued on November 12, 2021, indicated, that they were questioning the Legal Capacity of KA Technologies to be given the contract to produce laptops for all pre0teriary public school teachers in Ghana.
The Accra High Court is expected to take up the legal suit between both parties as the two teacher unions take on K.A Technologies Ghana Limited in a legal battle.

Plaintiffs
The statement further indicated that Innovative Teachers and All Teachers Alliance Ghana (ATAG) are the First and Second Plaintiffs to the suit respectively.
Defendants
The Defendants in the suit include KA Technologies, the Ministry of Education, the Attorney General and the Ghana Education Service.

About the two Unions
Innovative Teachers was registered as a Trade Union by the Chief Labour Officer in accordance with Labour Act 203 ( Act 651 ) on July 30, 2012.
All Teachers Alliance Ghana was also registered as a Trade Union by the Chief Labour Officer in accordance with Labour Act 203 (Act 651).
