Frequently asked questions about CV

1. I want a CV for an application but I don’t have any work experience

Me: You mean since you were born, you never executed any activity in your previous or current environment, Not even cleaning or selling for your mom?
This is the deal, the more you engage in relevant activities, the more you fade out the older ones. But if you don’t have any current activity, still use the old one with modern English.
Professions have undergone tremendous change such that when you hear the name of a cleaner now u will be shocked. So use the modern way to refine your portfolio.

2. I have put my picture on my CV for easy identification, please what do you advise?

Me: I don’t think it’s necessary. If you deal with a hiring manager who discriminates against races, you’ll be a victim. If you resemble the guy or the woman who snatched my baby, I’ll not hire you. We can make several meanings out of a picture. In simple language, your picture is not needed.

3. The email address on my CV is different from my name on the documents but I don’t want to change it because I’ve used it for so much stuff what do you think?

Me: you should use your names on your documents for your email address. This enables easy tracking and it shows seriousness.

4. What about my age, marital status, gender and the number of children that I have?

Me: They’re needles. Take them out!

5. I run my own business, so how do I get a CV?

Me: Yes, you’re either the founder, the PRESIDENT, or, the CEO, of your firm. You still have great managerial, operational, entrepreneurial, marketing etc roles.
You can build your CV.

6. Do we have a special arrangement of roles and duties executed when it comes to cv?

Me: Yes, it’s done in chronological order! From current to last.
I hope this helps someone
