Top 11 Senior High Schools on WAEC’s WASSCE 2021 Exam Irregularities Wanted List Out


EducationGhana, September 15, WASSCE Leakages: The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has listed some 11 Senior High Schools on its wanted list for allegedly engaging in various forms of examination irregularities at the ongoing 2021 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

WAEC in a statement issued on September 15, 2021, said it has increased the inspection and monitoring at the various centres.

Additionally, the following schools in respect of which tip-offs were received on intents to cheat are being  closely monitored for evidence to validate the claims:


  • Ejisu Senior High Technical School
  • Anlo-Afiadenyigba Senior High School,
  • Tepa Senior High School
  • Yeji Senior High Technical School
  • King David College, Somanya
  • Ideal College, Sunyani
  • Christ the King Senior High School, Obuasi
  • Modern Senior High School, Kpong
  • Modern Senior High School, Kintampo
  • Oyoko Methodist Senior High School
  • Klo Agogo Senior High School


Withdrawal of Invilators

WAEC said it has begun the Withdrawal of some supervisors and invigilators from providing services for the Council pending further sanctioning.


Scrutiny of scripts


WAEC said it shall begin a Scrutiny of scripts of schools where cheating has been reported. Where mass cheating is established in centres, the appropriate sanctions would be applied.

It further assured the public that it shall continue the Continued tracking of rogue websites and social media cartels in collaboration with security agencies.
