Ferdinand | EducationGhana | September 03 | TM1 Laptop Distribution Set to Conclude by End of September – Ellis Ferdinand
“TM1 Laptop Distribution for teachers in Ghana is set to conclude by the end of September 2024. Ellis Ferdinand urges teachers to stay informed and provides key updates on the process, including important notices for transferred teachers.”
The TM1 Laptop Distribution for teachers across Ghana is scheduled to conclude by the end of September 2024, according to a recent update from Ellis Ferdinand, a renowned education blogger, curriculum expert, and researcher. This development comes after extensive discussions with key stakeholders, ensuring that every eligible teacher will receive their laptops within the stipulated time frame.
Distribution Process and Important Notices
Teachers have been advised to stay in close contact with their District Education Officers (DEOs) to receive the latest updates on the distribution process. KA Technologies, the company responsible for supplying the laptops, will have teams stationed at all distribution centers to assist with any concerns that may arise.
Important Notice for Teachers on Transfer and Release:
For teachers who have been transferred or released, there is a critical update regarding the collection of laptops. These teachers are required to retrieve their laptops from their previous education offices, as their distribution data remains with those offices. It is crucial that these teachers do not attempt to collect their laptops from their new offices, as this could lead to delays and confusion.
Ensuring Fairness and Timeliness
Ellis Ferdinand emphasized the importance of teachers receiving what they are entitled to without unnecessary delays. He expressed optimism that all eligible teachers will have their TM1 laptops by the end of the month. However, he also urged any teacher who does not receive their laptop by the deadline to notify him immediately so that he can escalate the issue to the relevant authorities.
“Teachers should not have to plead for what is rightfully theirs,” Ferdinand stated, highlighting the responsibility of employers to ensure timely distribution of resources.
Looking Ahead: NPP Manifesto and Salary Arrears
In his update, Ferdinand also mentioned that his next communication will provide insights into the NPP Manifesto team’s position regarding the payment of three months’ salary arrears. This is an issue that he has actively contested, and it remains a significant concern for many teachers across the country.
As the new academic year approaches, Ferdinand wished all his colleagues in the teaching profession, particularly those at the basic level, a successful school resumption. He encouraged everyone to stay informed and continue working together to ensure that every teacher receives their TM1 laptop as promised.
For more updates on educational matters and the TM1 Laptop Distribution, teachers are encouraged to follow Ellis Ferdinand’s communications and stay engaged with their local education offices.
