The president of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) Jonathan Dzunu has admonished teacher trainees to uphold a high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

 

The president made this revelation in a speech delivered at the 26th General Assembly of the Association held at the St Francis College of Education on July 22, 2022.

” I wish to implore my colleague teachers in the making that, let us strive to let ourprofessional ethics impact positively on not only the pupils we are going to teach, but on the larger society as well.”

”As teacher trainees let me remind you that there are no short cuts in life; hard work pays. There will be hurdles you have to jump over; there will be challenges; there will be extremely tough times, but don’t be quitters. Winners are not quitters and quitters are not winners.” He said.

He added, that In life, the raceis not necessarily for the swiftest, but for the sturdiest. ”I call on all trainees to take the instructions we receive in our colleges very seriously so that we come out as very competent teachers.” He urged.

”Uphold virtue, morality and honesty and you will become great teachers of our time.
Our pledge to you, fellow trainees, is that, Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) willnot relent on its exertion to adopt legitimate means to make government release the allowance inarrears as far as it remains our topmost priority.” He said.

”Let us continue to be devoted, dedicated and work hard for the progress of TTAG and also pledge to uphold and defend the good name of the Noble Teaching Profession. Never forget that, ‘Behindevery famous person is a fabulous teacher” He concluded.
