EducationGhana, May 14, FRANCO: Students of the St Francis College of Education, FRANCO are being denied entry into some specific facilities of the College over their inability to pay their Semetsre Fess in full.
The College in a notice issued on May 6, 2021, by its Principal and copied to the Finance Department indicated that students who owed fees shall not be allowed to use the Colleges facilities until they have fully settled their fees.
Facilities of No entry
According to the directive, the students are to exit the following facilities;
- Dining Hall
- Lecture Halls
- Last Semester Examination Results
The statement further directed that all students who shall be coming back to campus should use the main entrance for their receipts to be checked before being allowed entry into the campus facility.
But speaking to EducationGhana’s Ellis Ferdinand, some of the students described the directive from the Principal as being harsh, taking into consideration the inability of the Students Loan Trust Find (SLTF) to release their allowances since the previous semester.
The students said it was prudent the College authorities reconsider their decision as they the await government’s payment of the allowances.
