The St. Dominic’s Basic School and the North Tongu District were adjudged best performing School and District during the maiden edition of the Quiz Competition for Schools in Tongu.
The quiz competition was organized by the National Union of Tongu Students and Associates (NUTSA).
The competitive grand finale which saw a good number of key stakeholders in attendance was held at Global Evangelical Church – Sogakope, South Tongu District in the Volta Region of Ghana on Thursday, 30th May, 2019.
After four exciting and amazing rounds of contest that was fiercely contested with much vigour by our ambitious pupils from the six schools
that won their respective contests at the preliminary levels,
the National Secretariat of NUTSA hereby presents the results of the grand finale below;
St. Dominic’s Basic School, 100.6 points – 1st position
Mepe Holy Christ Basic School, 84 points – 2nd position
Sogakope D/A JHS “B”, 80.5 points – 3rd position
Agorkpo D/A JHS, 69.7 points – 4th position
Mafi-Devime D/A JHS, 59.1 points – 5th position
Mafi-Atitekpo D/A JHS, 57.4 points – 6th position.
Since the contest was an Inter-Districts competition,
the scores of each district is the average of
the sum of scores of the two schools that
represented a particular district.
The district based results as follows;
North Tongu District, 92.3 points – 1st position
South Tongu District, 75.1 points – 2nd position
Central Tongu District, 58.25 points – 3rd position.
