St. Augustines College launches 90th anniversary

St. Augustines College, one of Ghana’s highly ranked second cycle schools, has rolled out activities to mark 90 years of delivering quality education.

At the launch of the anniversary celebrations in Accra, the need to improve infrastructure to meet the needs of the overwhelming number of students enrolled at the school was among key issues highlighted by past students.

They said the recently introduced free Senior High School programme has made the need for infrastructural development dire.

Board Chairman of the School, Dr Ernest Anthony Osei, did not mince words when he emphasized that point.

Also, the refurbishment and rehabilitation of the school’s library came up among priority projects.

President of the ‘95-year group, Joseph Eshun, used the opportunity to appeal to past students to contribute generously towards that project which is estimated to cost nearly half a million Ghana cedis.

Past students also used the opportunity to socialize and make merry.
