EducationGhana, July 17, SHE ESSENCE AWARDS 21:Janet Asante has been adjudged the Outstanding Women Commissioner (WOCOM0 of the Decade at the maiden edition of the SHE ESSENCE AWARDS held at the MJ Grand Hotel in Accra on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
About Janet Asante
Mrs Janet Asante was the National women’s commissioner for the 2015/2016 Academic year at the University of Cape Coast College of Distance Education (UCC DESAG).
She was the first WOCOM to include skill training in the Biennial Women’s conference program and also its rotation across the country.
She did other amazing projects for the women on the program even though she was heavily pregnant.
A leader like this is rare therefore she was crowned Outstanding Wocom of the Decade at She Essence awards Desag edition on 3rd July 2021.

She Essence Awards is an Award initiative organized for distance education students of the University of Cape Coast with 2021 being its maiden edition.
The Award is meant to honour students in various categories of their service to humanity and for the success of students of the University of Cape College of Distance Education (UCC CoDE)
