September 2019 Licensure Examination ends In all 46 Centers

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has ended the September 2019 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination.

The examination started on Tuesday, September 24,2019 and ended today, September 26,2019.

Some 46 Colleges of Education were used as centres for the examination.

The examination, which was conducted by the National Teaching Council included subjects like Essential Skills, literacy skills and Numeracy Skills.

The National Teaching Council is mandated by the Education Act 2008 (Act 778), Section 9 to improve professional standing and status of teachers and to ensure licensing and registration of teachers in Ghana.

The purpose of the Licensing Examination is to enable qualified teachers acquire a professional license and also prepare teachers to meet the demands of the National Teachers’ Standards of possessing the minimum knowledge, skills, values and attitudes necessary to deliver effectively in schools.
