‘Pupil Teachers’ are expected to stay away from the classroom effective the first term of the 2022/2023 Academic Year.
This information was gathered by EducationGhana’s Ellis Ferdinand prior to the reopening of schools for the first term of the new Academic year.
According to the information, District Education Directorates are expected to inform all heads of public basic schools to compile the list of pupil teachers with their staff IDs to be submitted to the education offices for further directives on such teachers.
The supposed pupil teachers are not expected to return to the classroom from the next term.
The GES shall communicate officially to all Regions and Districts. Such teachers who haven’t upgraded themselves should contact their Districts for further information.
