Professional Development Allowance not meant for buying Kelewele and Agbelikaklo – Angel Carbonou

The President of NAGRAT, Mr Angel Carbonu

The President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers ( NAGRAT) , Angel Carbonou has indicated that the Teachers Professional Development Allowance being paid by the government was not meant for buying Kelewele and Agbelikaklo.

Mr Carbonou said this on Joy News PM express show on Tuesday, December 7,2021.

“The Professional Development Allowance is not to go and buy Kelewele and Agbelikaklo, it is meant for professional development activities and other people have no choice than to learn that”He said.

Angel Carbonou was speaking in defense of three teacher unions, the National Association of Graduate Teachers, NAGRAT, the Ghana National Association of Teachers, GNAT and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana, CCT GH who collaboratively deducted GHC 509.9 from teachers professional Development Allowance to purchase laptops.
