Private School Teachers to be trained on New Curriculum in September – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has scheduled September 2 to 6,2019 as stipulated time for training teachers from the private schools on the first phase of the New Standard Based Curriculum for Basic Schools.

The GES indicated the time for the training in a letter dated August 23,2019 signed by its Director General,Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwa to the office of the President of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS).

The GES referenced a letter it received from the leadership of GNAPS on August 16,2019,on the training of its members.

The Director General said the management of the GES has mandated all regional directors pf education to supervise the organization of the training.

”However,the District trainers will be facilitating at the district levels” the letter indicated.

In view of this,the leadership of GNAPS is to contact the the respective regional directors for further discussions.

Moreover,the GES said the training should be within the stipulated time between 2nd September to 6th September 2019.

In addition,the Private Schools are to provide and bear the cost of the venue and logistics for the training.

The tuition cost per participant is Ghc100 for the five-day training.
