Our Industrial Peace could be jeopardized if you implement the 10% Rent for Teachers – GNAT to GES

EducationGhana| March 16| Our Industrial Peace could be jeopardized if you implement the 10% Rent for Teachers:

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has cautioned the Ghana Education Service (GES) to desist from implementing a document it said shall mean teachers and other GES Staff staying at Government bungalows shall pay 10% od their net salaries as rent.

The GNAT in a statement issued on March 15, 2022, indicated that the decision by the GES to implement the policy was against the 2020 Collective Agreement signed by The GES and the teacher unions.
