APP 2022 NTC and GNACOPS to train about 2000 unqualified teachers
The National Teaching Council in collaboration with the Ghana National Council Of Private Schools – GNACOPS with support from the Ministry of Finance is organizing a 4-day Training of Trainers for the training of Unqualified Teachers in private schools this week.
This training will form the basis for pilot training of unqualified teachers to equip them with the best practices on how to teach literacy and numeracy and also have in-depth knowledge of professional practice and conduct.
In all about two thousand (2000), unqualified teachers will be trained in various parts of the country.

The National Teaching Council, being the agency mandated by law to regulate the teaching profession has taken so much interest in the issue of untrained teachers in our classroom.
We do acknowledge that there are a lot of untrained teachers who are well adept in their content knowledge and need a bit of pedagogy to deliver effectively.
