EducationGhana, April 21, 2021: Newly Posted Teachers from the country’s Public Colleges of Education are angry over the decision by the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD ) to pay them half of their January 2021 salary.
The newly trained teachers who have been posted to the Public Basic Schools for the 2021 Academic year could not understand the reason for the GES to pay them half-month salaries been though they claimed they supposedly worked for the month of January.
A former President of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana(TTAG), Anthony Dadzie described the decision by GES and CAGD as a daylight robbery.
