New entrants into Tertiary Institutions to receive Loans for payment of Admission Fees – Sammy Gyamfi

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that it shall provide all New new entrants into the various Tertiary Institutions with Loans from the Students Loans Trust Fund to pay for their admission fees when voted into power in December 2020.

Speaking on a Moment of Truth program on UTV on Saturday, October 17, 2020, the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi has said that the Next NDC Government shall introduce a Student Loan Plus program that shall allow all Tertiary Students to acquire loans to pay their admission fees.

According to him, the NDC shall make sure that new entrants who can submit their admission letters as evidence of gaining admission shall be given loans to pay their fees.

Loan Guarantors for Tertiary Students

The NDC said there shall be no guarantor requirement for Tertiary Students to get loans from the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF).

Sammy Gyamfi said the NDC government shall only request an evidence of the students’ citizenship and then be allowed access to the loan.

Increment in Loans for Tertiary Students

The NDC added, that it shall increase the Students Loans when voted for on December 7, 2020.

Sammy Gyamfi assured Ghanaian Students that the NDC shall make sure it increases the Loan for students as it did in 2016.
