NAGRAT,Concerned Teachers to provide Media Coverage for the 2019 Ghana Teacher Prize

The three main teacher unions in the Ghana Education Service have both pledged supports for the organization of the 2019 Ghana Teacher Prize,formerly National Best Teachers Award.

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has provided a free auditorium for the launch of the event in Accra.

The National Association of Graduate Teachers(NAGRAT) and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers -Ghana (CCT-GH) have both pledged to sponsor a full media coverage for the main event.

In this regard,both unions are expected to take care of all media houses that shall be at the event in Kumasi.

Both teacher unions  made their pledges at the launch of the Ghana Teacher Prize at the Bediako Hall (GNAT HALL) in Accra on Wednesday,August 21,2019.

The Launch

The National Teaching Council has Launched the 2019 edition of the Ghana Teacher Prize (GTP),formerly National Best Teachers’ Awards at the GNAT Hall in Accra.

The prestigious Award which seeks to enhance the efficiency of Ghanaian Teachers and motivate their hard work was launched on Wednesday,August 21,2019.

The event will be preceded by a two-day educational conference aimed at disseminating research findings and exhibitions to expose participants to innovative approaches and best practices that support the teacher to become effective towards higher learner outcome.

The main event shall be held at the Paa Joe Stadium at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, on October 5,2019.

Sponsors

The sponsors of this year’s ceremony include Prudential Bank Ltd, which donated a double-cabin 4×4 pickup, GLICO Pension, which is providing a saloon car for the second runner-up, while Databank will also provide a saloon car.

Other sponsors are GCB Bank Star Oil Ltd, SIC Life Company Ltd, the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT), EPP Bookshop and VIDYA Bookstore.
