NaBCo recruits call for automatic validation for payment over COVID-19 Scare

Recruits of the Nation Builders Corps (NaBCo) are calling on management to consider an automatic validation of all recruits for payment of their stipends.

The recruits said it was impossible getting all members for signing of timesheets at a time all recruits are at home due to the COVID-19 Pandemic which brought about restrictions on movement.

Speaking to EducationGhana’s Ellis Ferdinand, the recruits said it was time the authorities consider validating them in their absence since a majority of them are not going to work and cannot sign timesheets to be validated for payment at the end of the month.

”Some trainees have been in the house since 2nd week of March and their institutions have been on an indefinite break, how do their line managers sign their timesheet?” they asked.

”What should trainees write on the timesheet……..Present, Absent or COVID19-Break….?So can’t the remaining trainees on the program be automatically validated and be paid for this month in this abnormal times…?”

‘Over 1000’s of permanent government teachers and other workers who receive ×2-10 of NABCO stipend have been validated and paid for little or no work done in this current COVID dispensation.” they argued.
