EducationGhana|September 1| Ministry of Education receives 3.7 million books from USAID
The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum hosted the U.S Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Virginia Palmer, in my office this morning, 30th August 2022.
The meeting discussed how the U.S is partnering with Government to strengthen the education system.

Later in the day, on behalf of USAID, Her Excellency Virginia Palmer handed over 3.7 million Teaching and Learning Materials to me on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
These 3.7 million books were locally developed by Ghanaian writers, illustrators, designers and content developers.
This means that the content of these books highlights the Ghanaian and African stories in a unique way for our children.

The Minister commend Buck Press, a locally owned printing house for maintaining quality and printing these books ahead of schedule.
”This Government is committed to improving learning outcomes right from the basic level to the tertiary level.” The minister said.
