Mfantsipim School, affectionately known as Kwabotwe, advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after an impressive victory at Auditorium 900. The Cape Coast-based school dominated the competition, finishing with 53 points, ahead of Anglican SHS, Kumasi (37 points) and Sogakope SHS (24 points).The contest, part of the One-Eighth Stage of the NSMQ 2025, showcased Mfantsipim’s depth of knowledge, confidence, and composure across all five rounds.

Early Challenge, Strong Recovery

Anglican SHS, Kumasi, took an early lead in Round One with 19 points, while Mfantsipim followed closely with 17, and Sogakope SHS trailed at 14 points.However, Mfantsipim quickly overturned the deficit in Round Two, leading with 27 points against Anglican’s 21 and Sogakope’s 16. The round, sponsored by @TrusturAI, saw Mfantsipim’s speed and accuracy shine through.

Perfect Score in the Problem of the Day

In the Problem of the Day, proudly sponsored by Prudential Life Insurance Ghana (@prulifegh), Mfantsipim achieved a perfect score of 10/10, demonstrating mastery in problem-solving and analytical reasoning.Sogakope SHS scored 4/10, while Anglican SHS, Kumasi, earned 0/10 in the same round.

Final Push and GOIL Riddle Bonanza

By Round Four, Mfantsipim had extended their lead to 47 points, with Anglican SHS at 34 and Sogakope SHS at 21. The competition concluded with the GOIL PLC Riddle Bonanza, where Mfantsipim maintained their lead to finish with 53 points overall.The round was proudly sponsored by @GOIL_Official, continuing their strong support for the NSMQ.
