Mass failure in March 2021 Teacher Licensure Exams due to Inadequate Preparation, not Leakages- NTC


EducationGhana, August 8, GTLE: The National Teaching Council (NTC) has said that the mass failure in the March 2021 Lice ensure Examination was due to inadequate preparation by the candidates and not due to alleged leakages of papers.

The Registrar of the National Teaching Council, Dr Christian Addai Poku in a conversation with the leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghanan (TTAG) on August 5, 2021, indicated that the cause of the mass failure in the recent Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) should not be attributed to alleged leakage of questions.

The NTC said candidates were not adequately prepared for the examination chance the mass failure.

He also said the result of the March 2021 GTLE was a true reflection of what actually transpired during the examination.

The NTC boss said the invalidation during the examination was very professional, leaving no room for candidates to cheat during the examination.



The National Teaching Council (NTC) has assured candidates who could not pass the March 2021 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) of a possible resit registration in the middle of August 2021.
