Level 300 University of Ghana student reported dead

Third year University of Ghana student, Collins Boakye, has been reported dead.

The Economics and Geography student is said to have passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

 

The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

Before his passing, Collins Boakye was regarded as among the vibrant members of the Legon chapter of the Pentecost Students and Associates (Legon-PENSA), which is the students’ group of the Church of Pentecost.

Announcing his death, the PENSA leadership described his passing as a great loss, and called for prayers for his family.

“It is with great sadness that the leadership of PENSA-LEGON informs the entire Church through this communique, of the demise of our brother, Collins Boakye. He is a level 300 student ,a member of the UGEL branch (Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall) and also a shepherd of the organising department. We are deeply saddened by this great loss. Let us join hands and pray for the family as well in these hard times,” part of a statement released by the Group reads.

Meanwhile, on various students platforms, tributes from lecturers and friends have started pouring in for the resident of the Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall.
