JUST IN: Tertiary Students to get Loans without Guarantors – Bawumia

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

Vice President Bawumia has said that Tertiary Students shall not be requested to provide guarantors when applying for loans in the next New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government.

He made this revelation during the launch of the NPP Manifesto for Election 2020 held in the University of Cape Coast on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

According to the Vice President, the Loan system shall exclude students from the Nursing and Teacher Training Institutions who have been given Allowances.

Dr. Bawumia added that the only requirement for student loans shall be the National Identity Card.

Payment

According to the Vice President, students shall be given a grace period of one year after graduation before paying their loans.
