JUST IN: ”Proceed with the Issuance of Assurance and Release Letters with Immediate Effect” – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has instructed all Regional Directors of Education to proceed with the issuance of Assurance and Release letters to its Staff with immediate effect.

This follows an earlier suspension on transfers ,which the Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwa explained in an interview on Neat Fm,an Accra based radio station on Tuesday,August 20,2019.

In his statement,the Director General said the suspension was as a result of the migration of staff onto a system operated by the Public Service Commission (PSC),known as the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS).

He further indicated ,the GES shall meet with the PSC within the week to conclude on their discussions.

However, a letter dated August 20,2019 ,issued by the Director of Human Resource at the Ghana Education Service, Mrs Adjoa Van Vicker to all regional directors of education instructed the regional directors to proceed with the issuance of Assurance and Release letters to its Staff with immediate effect.

In its introductory statement,Mrs. Adjoa Van Vicker indicated,that following the submission of all Release,Assurance and Vacancy lists by the Regional Directors to the GES Headquarters, management of the GES has authorized the issuance and processing of intra-district and inter-regional re-postings.

The deadline for the issuance of release and assurance letters is September 3,2019.

Moreover,the regional directors are to compile and submit all intra-district re-postings and transfers to the Director-General’s office.
