The Journalist, who is known to be associated with the ruling New Patriotic Party, said he was inclined towards the NDC’s option for reform in the law education policy in Ghana.
He made this revelation on Thursday, September 10, 2020, on Good Morning Ghana show.

Sammy Gyamfi Acknowledges Barko
Speaking on the Manifesto Promise, Lawyer Sammy said Kweku Barko has been part of the struggle for breaking the monopoly of Legal education in the country.
He recounted Barko’s support during he (Sammy Gyamfi)days as the SRC President of the law School, where he supported the idea of breaking the moiopoly of the law school.

Sammy Gyamfi explained ,that the NDC shall break the monopoly of the Ghana School of Law overprofessional legal Education by establishing a College of Legal Education andTraining, different from the GeneralLegal Council to accredit Certified Legal Faculties to run professional law courses.
According to him, after an individual successfully goes through the professional law course ,the General Legal Council would then organize abar examination for the individual to write.
KwekuBarko added that the NDC’s approch was a progressive approach to improving professional Legal Education in the country.
He added, that the growing economy demands the needed action suggested by the NDC.
