The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the appointment letters of the 2017, 2018 and 2019 College of Education graduates to take up teaching appointments in the Public Schools across the country.

The GES in a statement released on December 3, 2020 and signed by its Deputy Director-General in charge of Management and Supervision,  Anthony Boateng said that the appointment letters for shortlisted applicants have been released.

Shortlisted Applicants

According to the statement, the shortlisted applicants include those who have the following:

  1. Completed and passed the Colleges of Education Examination in 2019 and those of 2017 and 2018 considered under the mop up exercise.
  2. Passed the Teacher Licensure Exams
  3. Completed the mandatory National Service
  4. Applied for recruitment into the service in the GES portal.

Appointment Letters

The GES further indicated that appointment letters can be accessedvon www.gespromotions.gov.gh or HERE at a fee of GH¢10.00

Appointees are to report to the regional Directors with their appointment letters, certificates and other documents for further directives before reporting to the school.

 

Direct Deployment

Thje statement further indicated, that teachers have been deployed directly to fill existing vacancies in schools .The breakdown is as follows;

  1. Ahafo Region  – 2.4%
  2. Ashanti Region  – 8.2%
  3. Bono Region  – 2.6%
  4. Bono East Region – 4.5%
  5. Central Region – 4.5%
  6. Eastern Region – 4.2%
  7. Greater Accra Region – 2.1%
  8. North East Region – 7.4%
  9. Northern Region –  12.5%
  10. Oti Region -5.1%
  11. Savannah Region -5.8%
  12. Upper East Region – 8.8%
  13. Upper West Region – 8.5%
  14. Volta Region – 4.6%
  15. Western Region – 10%
  16. Western North Region – 8.3%
