‘Juju’ Scare hits University of Ibadan as Fetish Item found at University’s Main Entrance

Students and workers of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria were on Friday, February 14, 2020, welcomed to the school environment by a strange sculpture placed at the main entrance of the school gate by unknown persons.

The strange sculpture scared students, workers, and visitors of the University. The image carved in human form had never been seen in front of the gate until the morning of February 14.

Further investigation revealed that the image may have been placed there by members of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) to drive home a message on the proposed strike action they are about to embark on.

The image might not have been suspicious, except that it had pepper and tomatoes placed around it. Tomato juice was also seen circling the image, thereby making it look fetish-like.
