Jessica Narh contests DESAG UCC Central Regional Presidency

EducationGhana, April 23, DESAG: The Central Regional chapter of the Distance Education Students Association of Ghana (DESAG UCC ) is set to experience a very competitive election of its Presidency between two very vibrant ladies.

.

Jessica in an interview with EducationGhana’s Ellis Ferdinand indicated that her ambition for the regional position was to push for a better Distance Students Leadership and Welfare at the regional level.

Experience

Jessica indicated, that she had in-depth knowledge and experience about the leadership of DESAG-UCC.

She added, that as a former regional executive member of the association, she has benefited from the challenges and successes of the regional leadership of which she hopes to bring forth for the future of the Association in the region.

She added, that with her experience, she knows the best possible way of getting the challenges of the association to be solved at the regional level.

Lobbying

Jessica said she is very much experienced in lobbying for the students’ welfare due to her expertise in leadership in the same region as a regional executive.

Jessica, who had her Diploma with the University became a member of the association from her days at level 100 through to the final year.

Women Empowerment

According to Jessica, she knows how to empower women because she is an example of women empowerment.

She promised to keep the hopes of the women in the region who are members of the College of Distance Educatio9n (CoDE) alive with more empowerment programs when elected as president.

 

Allocation of Funds

Jessica stated that when given the authority to lead the region, sha shall ensure that it will be accepted by the national board to allocate funds to CENTER REP’S for DESAG to be felt at the centre level directly.

Examination

As part of her campaign promises, Jessica said she shall ensure that students are not stopped from writing exams when they are owing fees by lobbying on their behalves.

Nursing Mothers

According to Jessica, she shall make sure ‘students mothers’ are well-taken care of so that the mothers can have peace to learn during face-to-face through lobbying.

Election

The election is expected o take place today, Friday, April 23, 2021.
