In a commendable effort to support the health and well-being of the citizens in her constituency, Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, the Member of Parliament for Amuwo-Akutu Senya West and Deputy Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, has launched the 5th Annual Free Eye Screening and Surgery initiative in collaboration with Watborg Eye Center. This program seeks to provide free eye care services, including eye screenings and surgeries, for the residents of various communities.

The eye screening and surgery initiative is a flagship project aimed at providing free eye care services to the underserved communities across the constituency.
The event has been organized with the support of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and aims to improve the vision of individuals suffering from undiagnosed or untreated eye conditions.
With a strong focus on vision health, the program will ensure that people with visual impairments or those in need of eye surgery are given access to medical services that are often out of reach for them.

The 5th Annual Free Eye Screening and Surgery will be held across various towns in the constituency, starting from March 19, 2025 to March 30, 2025. Here’s a breakdown of the dates and locations:

- March 22nd: Okuku Nkwanta
- March 24th: Fianko

- March 29th: Mfao
- March 30th: Ahentia & Bontrase
The initiative will be hosted at selected venues in these communities where residents can come and receive the medical care they need, all at no cost.
