The Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Youth Employment Agency have signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) today to engage 7,730 youth to augment the non-teaching staff of the Ghana Education Service at the GES conference room in Accra.
The MoU signed is under the Youth Employment project dubbed “School Support Programme”
The Director-General, Prof. Kwasi Opoku- Amankwa indicated that the partnership with the YEA would support the increasing demand for non-teaching staff in the areas of security and kitchen staff in the 721 Senior High Schools across the country due to the increasing numbers of students in the schools.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency, Mr Justin Kodua Frimpong, indicated that the model would run for two years per the structure of the agency and shortlisted candidates would be paid monthly through GETFund.
He added that an advertisement would be put out officially on Thursday, 24th October, 2019 for Ghanaians to apply for the various vacancies.
