The Ghana Education Service (GES) has set a date to organize a Common Core Programme (CCP) Curriculum Trainer of Trainer’s workshop for Staff of the Service.
The date according to the GES is from Sunday, 27th to Thursday, 31st December 2020.
The GES in a letter dated December 17, 2020 and signed by its Director-General, Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa to the Acting Director-General of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) indicated, that the workshop shall take place at all Regional Capitals.

Participants are expected to report on Saturday, December 26, 2020, by 5:00 pm.
The GES said, it by the letter, sought permission for the release of NaCCA National Trainers for the Trainer of Trainers Workshop.
Trainer of Trainers Workshop
Trainer of Trainers workshop is meant to train master trainers who shall be equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills on the CCP Curriculum to be able to train other trainers who shall subsequently train some selected Staff of the Ghana Education Service who shall be selected from their respective districts to finally train teachers and other staff of the GES on the implementation of the CCP Curriculum.

About the CCP Curriculum
The Common Core Programme is a four-year education programme designed to offer learners in Basic 7 to Basic 10 (JHS1 – SHS1) the opportunity to prepare for higher education and the world of work or both.
It’s made up of nine learning areas, namely: Languages, Mathematics, Science, Creative Arts and Design, Computing, Career Technology, Physical and Health Education, Social Studies and Religious and Moral Education.
