Ghana Education Service Resolves Portal Issues for 2024 Degree Recruitment

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has successfully restored its recruitment portal following a temporary technical glitch that disrupted the application process.

The portal, which initially opened on September 3, 2023, invited qualified individuals to apply for teaching positions across Ghana. According to GES, the recruitment process aims to fill critical teaching vacancies in batches, ensuring timely placement for successful candidates.

Over 38,000 Applications Received

Out of the 38,748 applications submitted during the recruitment window, only 11,665 applicants met the advertised requirements. These qualified applicants are set to be employed in phases, with notifications sent via text message to inform them when to access and print their appointment letters from the platform.

Support Channels for Applicants

GES has urged applicants with inquiries or challenges to contact the Human Resources Secretariat at hrsecretariat@ges.gov.gh for assistance. The service reiterated its dedication to a seamless and transparent recruitment process.

The announcement, signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the GES Public Relations Officer, was made on December 1, 2024.

This move by GES highlights its commitment to addressing staffing needs and improving education delivery across the country.
