GES Greenlights Expansion of Procus Ghana Limited’s Initiative
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has granted Procus Ghana Limited approval to expand its product sampling initiative to Senior High Schools (SHSs) in eight regions of the country.
This decision, outlined in a letter dated January 22, 2025, and signed by Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, Director of Schools and Instructions, on behalf of the Director-General, signifies another step toward promoting innovative collaborations aimed at improving student health and well-being.
Background: Procus Ghana Limited’s Successful Pilots
Since commencing operations in 2019, Procus Ghana Limited has conducted successful product sampling campaigns in 210 schools across five regions:
- Greater Accra
- Ashanti
- Western
- Central
- Eastern
The initiative introduced students to the Kivo 4-in-1 Gari Soakings Mix, a ready-to-eat snack designed to provide a nutritious and convenient food option for students.
New Regions and Timeline
Building on this success, Procus Ghana Limited plans to expand its initiative to the following regions:
- Northern
- Bono
- Oti
- Savannah
- Greater Accra
- Central
- Western
- Volta
The expansion is scheduled to take place from January to June 2025.

- District School Health Education Program (SHEP) Coordinators
- Heads of Schools
This collaboration will ensure the seamless execution of the initiative. Regional Directors have also been tasked to communicate this approval to their respective districts and provide the necessary support to the team from Procus Ghana Limited.
