Female Teacher mercilessly beaten at Beposo; Teachers on Solidarity Strike

Another teacher at Beposo R.C School in the Bosomtwi District of the Ashanti Region has been beaten by a young man.

Reports suggest ,the said young man is a known marijuana smoker in the town.

This comes days after a teacher at Asiakwa Salvation Army school in the Eastern Region, Mr Bosompem was beaten to death by six teenage marijuana smokers in that community who are currently on remand.

The victim, Juliana Dwumoh who’s a nursing mother, according to Kumasi based Abusua FM reporter Kwasi Bodua was first stoned while teaching at school on Monday by the suspect known as Noah Effah.

Juliana, while walking home after close of school was accosted by the suspect halfway through the journey and attacked.

Noah is said to have kicked her to the ground, beat the hell out of the teacher and dragged her on the ground.

She was saved after she shouted for help.

The assault has left the victim with bruises and bodily pains making it very difficult for her to breastfeed her baby.

The victim explained that the suspect who some believe is mentally unstable due his marijuana smoking habit, once came to her home and hurled stones at them but had not encountered him since then until the day of the assault.

The incident has resulted in a strike by teachers in the school in solidarity with their colleague.

The suspect after his arrest has not been able to give reasons why he beat the teacher.

The case has been reported to the police who have since commenced investigations.
