February 2021 Teachers’ Promotion Test Results Out; 63.3% Promoted

EducationGhana, June 4, GES: The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the list of candidates who got promoted after taking part in the February 2021 Promotion Examination (Aptitutde Test).

The GES in a statement issued on June 2, 2021, and signed by its Deputy Director General , Anthony Boateng indicated that out of 46,486  candidates who were shortlisted for the test, 29, 465 candidates representing 63.3% were promoted.

Grades for Teaching Staff

Te GES listed the following grades for the teaching staff of the GES to which the staff were being promoted.

  1. Deputy Director
  2. Assistant Director 1
  3. Assistant Director 11 and
  4. Principal Superintendent

 

Deputy Director

According to the statement, for the Deputy Director grade, 3,611 candidates took the test , out of which 2, 139, representing 59.2% were successful.

 

Assistant Director 1

 

For Assistant Director 1 grade, 8753 candidates took the test with 5817 being successful, representing 66.5%.

 

Assistant Director 11

31,044 candidates sat for the promotion test to Assistant Director 11 grade, out of which 19, 801, representing 63.8% passed.

Principal Superintendent

For the Principal Superintendent grade, a total of 3,078 candidates were shortlisted for the test, out of which 55.5%, being 1,708 candidates were successful.

How to Access Results

The GES said results can be accessed on www.gespromotions.gov.gh for a fee of GH¢10.

Formal Letters

The GES said formal letters will be released in due course .
