Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minister of Education and Ghana’s Representative on the Executive Board of UNESCO has announced Ghana’s bid for a re-election onto the new Executive Board.
He was speaking at a reception organised by the Ambassador Plenipotentiary to France, Portugal and UNESCO, H.E Anna Bossman at the UNESCO Headquarters, Place de Fontenoy in Paris.

The occasion was used to announce Ghana’s bid for re-election onto the UNESCO Executive Board. Addressing the over 200 diplomats who attended, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minister of Education and Ghana’s Representative on the Executive Board of UNESCO, outlined the successes Ghana has chalked in UNESCO’s areas of competence.
He seized the opportunity to emphasize how Ghana stands poised to contribute to the West African Region, especially through educational management and leadership training led by UNESCO’s category II centres.
