Dismissal of Teacher Kwadwo was in the right direction – Adutwum

EducationGhana| January 30| Dismissal of Teacher Kwadwo: The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has said that the dismissal of Michael Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo was in the right direction.

The Minister said this in an interview on the Joy News Upfront show hosted by Raymond Acquah on January 26, 2022.

According to Minister, the Ghana Education Service has its set of rules hence he would not intervene to indicate a sense of interference.

The Minister advises that any teacher who wishes to travel to help his pr her school can do that during vacations.

He described Teacher Kwadwo’s actions as against the code of conduct of the GES hence its associated sections.

Teacher Kwadwo in a Facebook post on Saturday, December 18., 2021 indicated that he was issued the letter which was dated October 27, 2021.

This he believes was an indication that the sack letter was prepared long before the day he was issued the letter.
